Malayalam’s latest horror comedy, Karakkam, debuted in theatres on May 28. The film's digital streaming rights have been sold to a popular OTT platform, according to the producers. Sony LIV will be streaming the movie following its theatrical run. Recent trends indicate that Karakkam will probably be accessible on the website following a 30-40 day theatrical run. In addition to Malayalam, it is reasonable to expect that the horror comedy will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada with English subtitles.
The movie revolves around Dhanesh and Khaja, who, while intoxicated, remove five brass crosses from a church cemetery in order to sell them for money. The two and a circle of friends are constantly plagued by five malevolent spirits, which drive them to make amends for their misdeeds. To do this, they will also have to delve thoroughly into the pasts and suspicious deaths of these apparitions.
