A mid-budget film that found favour with audiences, Blast, directed by Subash K Raj, is set for its OTT debut this week. The film, starring Action King Arjun Sarja, Abhirami and Preity Mukundhan in the lead, is headed to Amazon Prime Video on June 25, 2026 and will be available with audio in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi as well.

Blast, which is reported to have been made at a Rs 18 cr budget, is estimated to have raked in Rs 68 cr gross from its worldwide theatrical run. The film, which also starred John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, among others, marked the Tamil film debut of KGF composer Ravi Basrur.

Thefilm revolves around an unassuming middle-class household, led by Rajaram (Arjun Sarja) a quiet karate master, his wife, Neelaveni (Abhirami), and their fiercely independent daughter, Nila (Preity Mukhundhan). A seemingly ordinary family, this trio, though, is a pack of highly skilled martial arts experts, who use their talents to fight for justice.
When their paths cross that of the ruthless businessman Varun Dhayalan (John Kokken), who is running a multicrore illegal mining operation near a hillside village, they have to use every trick of the trade to stop him and his cronies in their track before they completely destroy the village.
During its theatrical run, audiences noted that despite being the leading man, Arjun Sarja was contend playing second fiddle to Preity, whose performance and action were widely appreciated. Abhirami also received praise.
