Karakkam, the Malayalam musical horror comedy directed by Subhash Lalitha Subrahmanian and led by a cast including Sreenath Bhasi, Femina George, Praveen TJ, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Shaun Romy, Sidharth Bharathan, Bijukuttan, Midhutty, among others, is OTT bound.
The film, which hit theatres in late May this year and opened to average reviews, had a digital partner in place at the time. SonyLIV had picked up the post-theatrical streaming rights and the platform has set a premiere date as well. Karakkam will drop on SonyLIV on July 3, 2026.

The film, featuring music by Sam CS and cinematography by Bablu Aju, is based on a script by Nipin Narayanan, Subhash LS, Arjun Narayanan and Dhanush Varghese. The story follows a pair of friends, played by Sreenath Bhasi and Praveen TJ, who, desecrate a cemetery in a state of inebriation and walk away with brass crucifixes from a bunch of graves.
What seemed like a silly joke to them at the time, though, turns around when the spirits of those whose graves they ‘vandalized’ decide to pay them a visit and make them pay. The rest of the film follows what the duo has to do to atone for their faults, including deep dives into these spirits' pasts and deaths in order to accomplish this.
