The protagonist of the film is Aashaan, who has always wanted to act in a Malayalam film. Unexpectedly, he meets aspiring director Anant for a film shoot at the former's apartment complex. As both of them strive for their big break, obstacles arise as their aspirations clash with the harsh realities of this field. The question that matters is whether or not they can establish a name for themselves in this industry.
Backed by Dulquer Salmaan's production house Wayfarer Films, Aashaan received largely favourable reviews from viewers. The most frequent response was that Indrans' portrayal of Aashaan, which acts as a focal point for the film's humorous and poignant aspects, is primarily responsible for Aashaan’s success.
Johnpaul, who is renowned for directing the hit Malayalam feel-good flicks Ambili and Guppy, is the director of this movie. About 100 newcomers made their debut in Aashaan. Tamil YouTuber Madan Gowri, Shobi Thilakan, Abin Bino, Kanakam, Bipin Perumballi, and others are also featured in this film in supporting roles.
Indrans’ other latest film, Karuppu, which starred Suriya in the lead role, began streaming on Amazon Prime Video from June 12. The actor’s upcoming releases include Chinna Chinna Aasai, which will hit the big screen on June 19.
