Vaazha 2, the most recent Malayalam blockbuster, is reportedly gearing up for its online release. The digital rights to this movie are said to have been acquired by JioHotstar, who will begin streaming it on May 15 with English subtitles. According to sources, the lead cast of the film is now shooting promos for this streaming site ahead of its online release.

Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, the movie's prequel that was released in theatres in 2024, can also be streamed on JioHotstar. Although the producers have not confirmed it, recent patterns suggest that the sequel would likely be released in languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada other than Malayalam.
The film earned over Rs 125 crore at the box office in just one week of its theatrical run. Interestingly, Vaazha 2 has become the fastest Malayalam movie to do this, surpassing Lokah Chapter 1 - Chandra. Over the course of the holiday season, the movie's box office earnings skyrocketed within a week of its release.
As a result, the film's producers recently arranged a grand launch for the Telugu audiences in Hyderabad. In order to personally appreciate the young actors in this film, Telugu superstar Ramcharan also invited them to the sets of his upcoming movie, Peddi.
The four youngsters at the centre of Vaazha 2 are referred to as losers and nuisances by both their family and others in their school as well as the community. The central theme of the film is their emotional journey of self-discovery.
