Josh Safdie's Marty Supreme sports drama is set to join the regular Prime Video library in India on May 9, 2026. Digital rental of the Timothée Chalamet-starring film first became available on the service on April 24, 2026. The title will no longer incur the extra ₹119 transaction fee for all Amazon Prime subscribers with the transition. After a fruitful theatrical run and an impressive showing at the awards season earlier this year, the film is finally making its way to OTT in India.

Marty Supreme is based on the life of professional table tennis player Marty Reisman and was written by Ronald Bronstein and directed by Safdie. In this fictionalised account of the athlete's life in the 1950s ping-pong circuit, Chalamet plays the role of Marty Mauser. In addition to Odessa A'zion and Tyler Okonma—better known as Tyler, the Creator—in his feature film debut, the supporting ensemble includes Gwyneth Paltrow as affluent socialite Kay Stone.

Upon its original release in late 2025, the production, which was managed by A24, garnered much critical notice. Both the Golden Globe and Critics' Choice Awards 2026 went to Chalamet for his outstanding performance. Not only that, but Marty Supreme was nominated for nine Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director. Using Safdie's trademark high-energy manner, the film explores the internal obsession and professional risks linked to niche athletic fame.

In India, viewers will be able to watch the film with English subtitles. Going by the rave reviews, it seems like the domestic admirers of international independent cinema would flock to watch the film on OTT. Marty Supreme is the latest in the growing list of A24 films that have made the jump to Prime Video in the region, following the trend of big independent films making the switch to streaming services soon after winning accolades.
