Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) OTT release date: When and where to stream it?
After delivering box office successes with Love Today, Dragon and Dude, Pradeep Ranganathan starred in LIK, which finally hit theatres in April. However, the film could not maintain the success streak of the actor-director. A futuristic romantic drama, LIK had a lukewarm response, both at the box office and among critics.
Now, the film is set to make its OTT debut this week. LIK will premiere on Prime Video from May 6 onwards. The film will be available in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada, along with English subtitles. LIK is directed by filmmaker Vignesh Shivan who is known for his quirky and wacky ideas, and produced by Nayanthara. However, even as the expectations sky-rocketed for LIK, the romantic drama had less impact among the audience.
What is LIK all about?
LIK is set in the year 2040 where people are leaning towards the technology to find love. An app called LIK, founded by Suryan, dominates the dating scene. However, Vibe Vassey comes from the ideology that love is human-connected emotion as opposed to technology-reliant idea, he encounters problems after the app predicts no romantic connection between him and his influencer girlfriend Dheema.
The cast of LIK includes Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Seeman, Gouri Kishan, and others. Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for the film. Unlike previous Pradeep Ranganathan-starrers which made over Rs 100 crore, LIK could make only Rs 60 crore worldwide as per Sacnilk, making his lowest box office earning so far.
