Rocking Star Yash is currently in Las Vegas, where he attended CinemaCon 2026 along with Ramayana co-producer Namit Malhotra. The duo has been doing media rounds, during which Yash has been speaking at length about both his upcoming films, including Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups, which is first up for release on June 4, 2026.

Yash on Toxic: Geetu Mohandas has presented a dark character in unique fashion

Speaking to media outlets in the US, Yash highlighted that the Kannada film Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, has been shot with an English version as well, besides being dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Describing the film, Yash told Fandango, “As a concept, it’s very layered. It’s not a typical gangster action story. At face value, it looks like a gangster movie with a lot of action. But it has deep psychology and very interesting aspects of human life that you can resonate with. It’s a unique way to present a dark character.” Yash plays two characters, Raya and Ticket, presumed to be father and son, in the film.

Toxic is a film on which Yash began as co-producer and actor and was eventually credited as co-writer, along with Geetu, putting the spotlight firmly on his overall involvement in the filmmaking process. “Working on the film was very exciting with some of the best technicians. Geetu has really given a new take on a gangster film. I enjoyed it. It’s going to be a visual treat, as well as something that makes a huge impact on audience psychology as well,” said Yash, adding that Toxic is a film rooted in Indian sensibilities yet designed for a global audience. “It’s one of those films that caters to everyone while offering a very unique experience.”.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by Monster Mind Creations and KVN Productions, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grownups features an ensemble cast of Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria and is slated for a global theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
