Vipul Amrutlal Shah produced this sequel, which first hit theatres on February 27, 2026, under the Sunshine Pictures label. The film, which was directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Kamakhya Narayan Singh, was subject to various censorship changes and legal hurdles before it was finally released. The Kerala High Court even removed its interim hold on the film. The film made around ₹49 crore in India, even though critics gave it mediocre reviews.

The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond stars Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha in the key roles. The storyline elaborates on the ideas presented in the 2023 original by moving the emphasis from regional accounts to purported international recruitment networks. By making use of a greater production scale and multinational settings, the film seeks to offer a more comprehensive geopolitical backdrop to its central themes. Manoj Muntashir penned the songs, and Mannan Shaah composed the score.

The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond will be available for digital streaming on ZEE5 in Hindi along with several regional languages with English subtitles, such as Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam. Digital engagement data indicates that the film continues to generate significant social media buzz, which is promising for its OTT premiere next month in terms of viewership
