The makers of the upcoming Malayalam flick, Bhaskara Bharanam, have announced that Panorama Music has bagged its audio rights. The movie, which marks the return of actor Roopesh Peethambaran as a director, was announced recently.
Roopesh is well-known to Malayalis, with the superhit film Sphadikam, playing the younger version of Mohanlal’s iconic character, Aadu Thoma. Roopesh later marked his directorial debut with Dulquer Salmaan’s Theevram and Tovino Thomas-starrer You Too Brutus. He has also acted alongside Tovino in Oru Mexican Aparatha, which is streaming on JioHotstar. The title of Bhaskara Bharanam was released by Dileep through his social media pages recently.
In Bhaskara Bharanam, a son sets out to fix his troublesome father. The film is being produced by NICAFF and Good Fellas in Films. The cast includes Sonika Meenakshi, Ajay Pavithran, Mithun M Das, Parvathy Kalarikkal, Manish M Manoj, Anjali Krishnadas, Biju Chandran, Sarath Vijay, and Jishnu Mohan. Uma Kumarapuram is handling the camera. Rashin Ahmed is the editor, and Arun Thomas has composed music for this movie, which will have a theatrical release on June 26. So far, no other Malayalam film has been slated to hit the big screen on the same day.
The actor and director had also shared the poster with the comment, “Every scar on that wall tells a story your father never got to hear. Bhaskara Bharanam is not just a film — it's a reckoning. This is the kind of cinema that doesn't just move you — it stays with you long after the credits roll.”
