An update regarding the theatrical release date of the upcoming Malayalam movie Ottam Thullal has been released by its producers. With Vijayaraghavan and Vishnu Unnikrishnan in the major parts, it has been revealed that this family entertainer would be released on the big screen on July 24. Ranjith and Prakash Varma's police drama will also make its theatrical debut on the same day.

The supporting cast includes Harisree Ashokan, Roy Thomas, Master Sreepath, Aniyappan, Sreeraj, Pauly Valsan, Tini Tom, Binu Sivaram, Binu Sivaram, Jeo Baby, Sidhartha Siva, Kutty Akhil, Jerome G, Bipin Chandran, Bhasi Vaikom, Priyanandanan, and Sethu Lakshmi. The film has been funded by Mohanan Nellikkat through the banner of GKS Productions. The film was announced in May last year. There were no more updates on the film's release date, despite the fact that filming was completed in June 2025.

All of the events that occur in the village of Methanam are depicted in this movie through a humorous setting, according to its makers. G Marthandan is well-known for his films, such as Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus and Paavada. Several places in Ernakulam were used for filming the entire film. Additionally, the Anjumana Temple in Ernakulam served as the location for the first day of filming. Because Ottam Thullal is a popular traditional art form of Kerala, it is expected that the film will have many satirical elements.

Vijayaraghavan recently appeared in an important part in Tovino Thomas’ Pallichattambi and Arya-starrer Ananthan Kaadu. Pallichattambi, which was released in April, is yet to debut online.
