Madhuvidhu, a recent Malayalam family romantic comedy entertainer, is still running in theatres, attracting mostly the family audience even on its fourth week of its release. Meanwhile, the makers have also confirmed that it would be available online soon. The movie, which stars Sharaf U Dheen in the lead role, will be streaming on Sony LIV in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada apart from Malayalam starting on May 22.

On April 23, the Vishnu Aravind-directed movie debuted in theatres across the world. Within a month of its theatrical run, it will make its OTT premiere, receiving largely favourable reviews from viewers. Sony LIV hasn't purchased the digital rights to a Malayalam movie in a long time. Produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, Madhuvidhu is a light-hearted and straightforward portrayal of modern marriages that focuses on ordinary moments with hilarious performances.
The eldest son of the Anjilamoodu family, Amritraj, falls in love with a Christian girl named Sneha Marcose, which causes him and their families to go through chaos. Kalyani Panicker, the daughter of Malayalam actress Bindu Panicker, plays the female lead in the movie. Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the soundtrack for this movie. Madhuvidhu was supposed to be released on Valentine's Day in 2026, but for unknown reasons, it was continually delayed.
The other actors in the movie include Jagadish, Azeez Nedumangad, Sai Kumar, Sreejaya, Amal Jose, Sanju Madhu, and others. Jai Vishnu has penned the screenplay for Madhuvidhu. Sharaf U Dheen’s recent films, The Pet Detective and Ashakal Aayiram, are both available to watch on ZEE5 with English subtitles.
