KD The Devil, one of KVN Productions’ many big-budget projects, released in theatres on April 30, 2026. The film, directed by Prem S and starring Dhruva Sarja in the lead, opened to mixed reviews and is said to have grossed Rs 20.79 cr in 12 days at the box office. Launched as a pan-India project, only the Kannada version made it to theatres on April 30, with the dubbed versions expected to release in the coming days. The film had hit theatres without a satellite and digital deal, what with those details missing in the title credits.

However, according to the latest buzz, KD may have snagged an OTT deal after all and will, according to reports, be available to stream within a month of its theatrical outing. The grapevine on social media is that KD The Devil will be available to stream from May 28, 2026, with the streaming partner said to be Amazon Prime Video. An official announcement is expected shortly.

Also starring Sanjay Dutt, Ramesh Aravind, V Ravichandran, Reeshma Nanaiah, Shilpa Shetty, Yash Shetty, among others, KD The Devil follows Dhruva’s character Kaali, a simpleton who runs a local kerosene shop. Kaali idolizes a local gangster, Dhak Deva (Sanjay Dutt) on account of having saved his life years ago, as well as his own blood, his brother Dharma (Ramesh). Deva does reciprocate some of those friendly vibes, until one day, Kaali playfully tells him that his wrestling game is waning and proceeds to show him a move or two.

In doing so, Kaali floors Deva, word of which spreads fast, with the latter then feeling that he’s been undermined. While that was the initial spark, a few subsequent events then have Deva baying not only for Kaali’s blood, but that of his entire family. That, of course, is not something Kaali can allow, and he picks up the machete to unleash a blood bath and protect his loved ones.
