Jerax, the fifth Kannada original web series commissioned by Zee5, has a release date. The platform, which ventured into the Kannada web series space in 2025 April with Ayyana Mane and followed that up with the likes of Shodha, Maarigallu and Raakshasa, none of which really struck a chord with audiences, is looking at changing the game with its next, Jerax, directed by Blink maker Srinidhi Bengaluru. What’s also interesting is that this one’s been backed by Natarakshasa Dhananjaya’s Daali Pictures.

Dhananjaya’s close pal and actor Nagabhushana is in the lead of Srinidhi’s 6-part series, which will premiere on Zee5 on April 24, 2026. The show also stars Tukali Santhosh, Srivatsa, Vijaya Prasad, Manju Pavagada, Om Prakash Rao, Payal Chengappa, among others. Srinidhi, who made his directorial debut with the Dheekshith Shetty-led sci-fi thriller Blink, is now dabbling with the fantasy comedy thriller genre in the series. The premise revolves around strange occurrences in the Xerox shop run by Nagabhushana’s Prakasha.
After a slew of remakes of Zee5 shows from other languages, which audiences had called out, the trailer of Jerax has been well received. Given Srinidhi’s track record with the critically-acclaimed Blink, the expectation is that he will deliver something fresh and exciting. Add to that Dhananjaya’s involvement as producer and his constant endeavour to give quality content to Kannada audiences and it seems that Zee5 is finally on the right track.
