The makers of the upcoming Malayalam film, Harivarasanam, starring Saiju Kurup in the lead role, confirmed that its production will begin soon. In a pooja ceremony held at Chitranjali Studio in Thiruvananthapuram today (July 2), they announced that the shooting will kickstart on July 4. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala and the entire cast of the movie Harivarasanam inaugurated the pooja ceremony.


The state government, police chief-level officials, and invited movie stars took part in the event which was held in a Sabarimala-like set built at Chitranjali Studio for the movie. The film team is bringing forward the message of "A drug-free cinema set", confirmed the makers. Cinema has the power to significantly impact society. Thus, the film industry's involvement in raising anti-drug awareness will open the door for significant reforms, according to Home Minister Shri Ramesh Chennithala.

Under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, Vinayaka Ajith is producing the movie. Rajesh Nair is directing Harivarasanam, following Salt Mango Tree and Thrissur Pooram. Dr Ambadi is writing the screenplay for the movie. The music for the movie is being composed by K Ranjin Raj. The rest of the cast details are expected to be revealed in the coming days.



Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam, Saiju Kurup's most recent film, was a tremendous box office hit. Netflix is currently offering the dark comedy, which also stars Baby Jean, Vinay Forrt, Jagadish, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Rasaleela, the third instalment of this movie, was recently revealed. This year, he will also be filming Saakshikal, a mystery thriller, which will mark the directorial debut of PS Arjun.
