Earlier this year, Joju George announced Paripadi as his second directorial. The producers of this eagerly awaited movie have now officially confirmed that the last phase of filming has begun. After a year of pre-production work, the film's production took place in a number of locations both within and beyond Kerala for approximately four months. It has also been revealed that Paripadi would be released in theatres in December of this year.

The film has over 100 new actors in its cast. The audience have high expectations for Paripadi, Joju's second picture following the 2024 action drama, Pani. Under the auspices of Kavya Film Company, Venu Kunnappilly is providing financial backing for this movie after the huge success of his other recent Malayalam films such as 2018, Rekhachitram and Aadu 3. Renowned cinematographer Rajeev Ravi is handling the camera work of Paripadi. The action sequences in Paripadi are choreographed by Anbariv Masters, which is another exciting aspect that builds excitement for its release.

This film, which will release in five languages—Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada—marks the Malayalam debut of Tamil music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. Joju made his directorial debut with Pani, which appeared in theatres in 2024 and made a substantial amount of money at the box office.

The action thriller, which also stars Sagar Surya, Junaiz V P, Abhinaya, and Seema, is available to stream on Sony LIV in Malayalam and other South Indian languages. The Shaji Kailas-directed film Varavu, which Joju George recently released in theatres, is receiving mixed reviews from viewers. On July 16, it debuted on the big screen.
