ZEE5 has officially secured the freshly released romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai for digital streaming. On June 5, 2026, theatres worldwide released the mainstream entertainer, directed by the seasoned David Dhawan. On August 31, 2026, eight weeks after its theatrical window closes, the film will have its digital premiere.
Working with co-producer Gaurav Bose, Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films is bringing you a modern family amusement that takes place mostly in London. Varun Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan, stars as the film's protagonist, which symbolises a major partnership between the two of them. Blending traditional situational humour with contemporary relationship dynamics, the story follows Varun's Jass, co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde, as he becomes entangled in a tumultuous love triangle.
The story begins when Bani (Thakur), Jass' wife, files for a divorce because she has very competing goals in terms of starting a family. After Jass moves on with Preet (Hegde), he gets himself into a hilarious situation when they both get pregnant at the same time. Misunderstandings, fast-paced puns, and meta-humour play significant roles in the screenplay—penned by Yunus Sajawal and featuring dialogues by Farhad Samji.
In addition to the principal trio, a vast supporting cast propels the film's humorous narrative. Notable appearances by Mouni Roy and Jimmy Shergill—the latter as an overprotective, gun-toting brother—co-star with Maniesh Paul, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Rakesh Bedi, and Johnny Lever in the ensemble.

The film, which was shot in different European locations, is a spiritual successor to the signature multi-starrer comedies of the 1990s and 2000s in Hindi cinema. It features high-energy dance tracks, such as the revamped nostalgic song Chunnari Chunnari, choreographed by Remo D'Souza.
