In the trailer, Tucci’s Bernard is heard saying that he and his team are the only ones standing in the way of a lunatic who has perfected technology that can turn anyone into an assassin. Amid this new and dangerous threat, the team must also reckon with the fact that there are trust issues between them, especially as far as Mason goes. Season 1 of the show introduced audiences to the elite spy agency Citadel and how it fell following a devastating attack by Manticore, a powerful syndicate manipulating the world from the shadows. Although the agents’ memories were wiped, they are recruited back into action to stop Manticore from establishing a new world order.
