Malayalam’s latest hit, Athiradi, will make its OTT debut soon this month. The campus entertainer will be streaming exclusively on Sony LIV from June 19 in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of an engineering college, the film follows Samkutty (Basil Joseph), an enthusiastic student determined to revive the institution's legendary "Arohan" fest—a celebration that was banned years ago following a tragic stampede. But what begins as a mission to restore lost glory soon turns into a rollercoaster of madness when Samkutty crosses paths with Sreekuttan Vellayani (Tovino Thomas), a local goon-turned-musician with a bruised ego.

The film also stars Darshana Rajendran, Riya Shibu, Zarin Shihab, Jeo Baby, Vishnu, and Shelvin in pivotal roles. Adding to the fun, Vineeth Sreenivasan and music composer Shaan Rahman make special appearances in the movie. Produced by Basil Joseph and Dr. Ananthu S, Athiradi blends comedy, action, romance, and emotion against the backdrop of a lively college festival, making for a thoroughly entertaining watch, especially for youngsters. Sharaf U Dheen’s Madhuvidhu was the other recent Malayalam film to release on Sony LIV post its theatrical run.
