24 OTT release date: Here's when and where you can finally stream Anil Kapoor's cult espionage series after a decade of its release

Anil Kapoor's critically renowned action thriller series 24 is officially launching on JioHotstar, marking a major milestone for Indian digital streaming. Fans have been eagerly anticipating a permanent digital home for the show since its initial airing on television, and on April 24, 2026, they will finally have their wish fulfilled: subscribers will have access to both seasons of the Hindi adaptation.

The show, which had its 2013 debut on Colours TV, will have its episodes released on the service at various intervals. On Fridays, JioHotstar will release eight episodes instead of a whole season. Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran developed this plan to maintain the riveting, real-time storyline of the original American format. The release will cover the full 48-episode run of the high-stakes thriller, including both the first season from 2013 and the second from 2016.

Kapoor makes a triumphant comeback to the small screen in his role as ATU chief Jai Singh Rathore. As a break from the norm for daily soap operas in India, the show set a new standard for production qualities in television. The evergreen actor has consistently referred to the series as a pivotal moment in his career, co-producing it with Ramesh Deo Productions. Veteran actors Anupam Kher and Shabana Azmi make cameos, and the show's supporting cast includes Tisca Chopra, Neil Bhoopalam, and Mandira Bedi.

As part of a larger strategy to attract a diversified subscriber base in a competitive market, JioHotstar has added cult-classic Indian programming like 24 to its library, marking a big acquisition of content. Although there has been no official announcement about a third season yet, fans are once again wondering if the brand would be resurrected with the return of the current series.
