Ram Charan's Peddi has been making headlines with a series of unexpected developments, the latest being its postponement from the originally planned April 30 release. The film is now likely targeting a June release window, with strong buzz suggesting June 25 as the new proposed date.

One of the key reasons behind the delay appears to be the non-availability of a suitable female star for a crucial item number. Several names, including Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, and Sara Arjun, were reportedly considered. However, the makers have now locked Shruti Haasan for this special number, bringing clarity after weeks of speculation.

The song shoot is set to begin tomorrow, with top choreographer Jani Master handling the moves. The makers are said to be investing nearly ₹5 crore on this single track, which includes Shruti's remuneration and a lavish set design.

Composed by A. R. Rahman, the number is expected to be a high-energy mass track, something quite unexpected from the Oscar-winning composer. Sources claim it will be a major highlight, designed to drive fans into a frenzy, especially the dance moves of Ram Charan.

Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan have already teamed up in the past but this special number is going to be special as it will be made in the best way possible. With big-scale production and mounting expectations, all eyes are now on how Peddi shapes up for its new release timeline.

Meanwhile, patchwork scenes are currently being shot in Hyderabad to wrap up pending portions. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film stars Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, with Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu in key roles.
