On June 5, Ananthika Sanilkumar's most recent movie, Parimala and Co., debuted in theatres. The young actress, who became well-known for her role in the Telugu movie 8 Vasantalu, disclosed how people first advised her against doing it.
“Many people told me not to start with 8 Vasantalu since I was just starting out in my profession and it wasn't wise to devote more than a year to a single project. But how can you refuse a story like that?" she asked. Ananthika stated that she lost several opportunities since she didn't discuss or commit to any other films while preparing and filming 8 Vasantalu.

8 Vasantalu, which is streaming on Netflix, tells the story of a young lady who, following the death of her father, finds comfort in writing and martial arts while embarking on a life-changing journey of love and self-discovery.
Regarding her part in Parimala and Co., Ananthika said it was a very relatable character to play with a lot of quirkiness. “She is jollier and her chemistry with her family, especially with her sister, is plausible,” she stated. “It was exciting to work with Jayaram and Urvashi, as my love for cinema comes from watching their films. From the first day till the very end, there was a lot of energy to work because we were like a family on set".
She also mentioned how eager she was to appear in a Malayalam movie soon. Parimala and Co, which is helmed by Pandiraaj, stars Urvashi, Jayaram, Sanjana Krishnamoorthy and Mysskin in lead roles.
