The trailer of Madhuvidhu, an upcoming family romantic comedy entertainer produced by Vinayaka Ajith under the banner of Ajith Vinayaka Films, is out. Meanwhile, the makers have also confirmed a new release date for this movie, which stars Sharaf U Dheen in the lead role. The film, which is directed by Vishnu Aravind, will hit theatres worldwide on April 23, 2026.
A trailer launch event was held in Kochi on April 15. The trailer further guarantees viewers that the movie will be a rom-com that will make them laugh from beginning to end, as the previously released teaser suggested. The movie is set in a conservative family with five men and no women, as the trailer makes clear. Amritraj, the oldest son, experiences turmoil in his life and their families after falling in love with Sneha Marcose, a Christian girl.
The film's female lead is played by Kalyani Panicker, the daughter of well-known Malayalam actress Bindu Panicker. The songs "En Kaathake Nee Cholliyo" and "Mellave Mellave" from the movie's soundtrack were praised online, particularly Kalyani's dance moves in the promo song. The music for this film was composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab. Madhuvidhu was originally slated for release on Valentine's Day in 2026, but it was repeatedly postponed for unspecified reasons. The producers recently announced that the movie will hit the big screen this month.
The other actors in the movie include Jagadish, Aziz Nedumangad, Sai Kumar, Sreejaya, Amal Jose, Sanju Madhu, and others. Jai Vishnu, who is well-known for his penning scripts of Shylock, Madhura Manohora Moham, and The Pet Detective, wrote the screenplay for Madhuvidhu. The film’s overseas distribution partner is Phars Films.
