According to the official log line of Enola Holmes 3 on Netflix, adventure leads detective Enola Holmes to Malta as personal and professional dreams collide on a case more perilous than any she's faced before. Besides Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill, the cast also includes Louis Partride, Himesh Patel, Helena Bonham Carter, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

Production of the third film was announced in November 2024, two years after the second part came out. The film has been directed by Philip Barantini best known for the mini-series Adolescence, and is based on a screenplay by Jack Thorne, which, in turn, was adapted from the novel by Nancy Springer. The first two films were directed by Harry Bradbeer. Philip’s version is said to be darker and more mature.

Filming began in April 2025 and was wrapped in a little over two months, when Millie, who also serves as co-producer, announced its completion. The film is said to be around 105 minutes in runtime. Netflix is yet to confirm the release date development, which is a departure from the franchise’s fall outing pattern, but has announced that it will be a 2026 presentation.
