Vijay must act quickly to discover the truth behind all of these crimes what with his superiors and powers that be breathing down his neck. Can he crack it and prove his worth?

Dridam Movie Review – Dridam marks Martin Joseph's directorial debut. The newbie filmmaker puts together a gripping and engaging narrative, which is testimony that his earlier collaborations with acclaimed director Jeethu Joseph (Neru and 12th Man) undoubtedly paid off.

Given the abundance of films in this genre and the exposure to several such movies in different languages, it undoubtedly takes a lot of work to deliver a solid thriller that attracts the audience's attention these days. This is where Martin shines because he and the authors, Linto Devasia and Jomon John, haven't concentrated on using too many story twists or decoys.

Dridam in theatres from May 8, 2026A still from Dridam

Shane Nigam skillfully takes on the role of a newbie police officer as the makers meticulously construct the plot, while the other technical elements enhance the overall tone of the movie. For example, Sreerag Saji's background score during the interval block is worthy of recognition. Dridam is a must-watch because of all of this as well as the solid climax that is sure to astound the audience.

Shane's portrayal of Vijay Radhakrishna is impressive to watch since he accurately conveys the sentiments of a beginner caught up in the intricacies of the system. His tumultuous ride of conviction and insecurities comes in organically from the actor. This is also the best part of the movie, as Vijay is shown as a young cop who must conceal his fears in order to pursue the truth rather than someone hot-headed and motivated from the start to prove his value to the force. The other good performers in Dridam include Shobhi Thilakan, Dinesh Prabhakar, Nandhan Unni, and Kottayam Ramesh.

Dridam Movie Verdict: Fans of the thriller genre will not be let down by the two-hour and eight-minute movie, as the makers are able to keep the audience interested throughout with a concise and compelling narrative with remarkable performances taking the lead.
