The launch of the big-budget film reuniting 'Mega Power Star' Ram Charan with director Sukumar officially took place with a traditional pooja ceremony in Hyderabad on November 1. With the working title RC 17, the project is being produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Vijay Prasad Bandreddi, and Bhushan Kumar under the banners of Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings, and T-Series.
The launch event was attended by leading figures from the Telugu film industry, with Megastar Chiranjeevi gracing the occasion as the chief guest. Chiranjeevi sounded the clapboard for the inaugural shot and joined producer Dil Raju in handing over the script to the team. Bhushan Kumar switched on the camera, while the directors present at the event collectively directed the opening shot.
The central highlight of this project is the reunion of Ram Charan and director Sukumar following their major blockbuster Rangasthalam, which achieved critical and commercial acclaim for its storytelling, performances, and technical execution. Rangasthalam is available to watch on JioHotstar. For this new pan-Indian project, Ram Charan is expected to undergo a complete physical transformation, with Sukumar presenting him in an entirely distinct look.
The official announcement poster — featuring Ram Charan’s image visually merged with a vibrant backdrop of peacock feathers in blue, green, and gold against a clean white canvas — has already generated strong interest among the actor’s fans. Accompanied by the tagline "You Can Imagine," the project is being mounted on a massive scale, with the remaining cast and crew details set to be revealed by the makers soon.
