The highly anticipated joint production of Yeh Prem Mol Liya has been officially confirmed for its release date by Rajshri Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. The film, directed by National Award-winner Sooraj Barjatya, will be released in theatres on November 27, 2026. After his critically acclaimed 2022 film Uunchai made a splash in theatres, the filmmaker is back to directing with this project. In an effort to attract the typical family audience in the late-year holiday season, the film is being marketed as a big Diwali 2026 release.
The film's leading hero, Ayushmann Khurrana, plays the part of Rajshri's legendary character, Prem. The character makes a triumphant comeback to the big screen after a 12-year hiatus, and the actor will be stepping into its shoes for the first time. For the first time ever, he will be paired opposite Sharvari, who will play the female lead. According to production rumours, Khurrana will add a mix of innocence and mischief to the part, and Sharvari will reportedly align with him, just like the heroines of Rajshri's films.
Himesh Reshammiya has reunited with Barjatya for the first time since 2014's smash hit Prem Ratan Dhan Payo to create the score for Yeh Prem Mol Liya. Given the historical significance of music in the filmmaker's storytelling, expectations for the new album are high. The director-composer combination previously created a soundtrack that broke records. In the run-up to its November release, the film's promotional campaign is likely to feature the score prominently.
