Dridam, the Shane Nigam led Malayalam investigative thriller, will be on OTT this week. JioHotstar had picked up the film’s streaming rights and will make it available from June 12, 2026, with audio in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi along with the original Malayalam version. Written and directed by Martin Joseph, who’d assisted Jeethu Joseph on a few films prior to making his debut venture, the film hit theatres on May 8, 2026, and had opened to mixed reviews.

Released only a week after the Mammootty-led Mahesh Narayanan film Patriot, Dridam did not have a great theatrical run. The film failed to breach the Rs 1 cr mark on any of its first weekend days, clocking in Rs 0.67 cr, Rs 0.75 cr and Rs 0.82 cr across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thereafter, it was a steady downward turn. Eventually, during its theatrical run, the film was available to gross all of Rs 3.98 cr only. Reports suggest that the film was made at a budget of around Rs 5 cr.

Dridam, meanwhile, had Shane playing a young inspector Vijay on his first posting at a station that is considered relatively peaceful, with barely any major crime being reported. However, to his bad luck, within days of taking charge, decomposed human remains are found, throwing him deep into a murder investigation. And if that wasn’t bad enough, a robbery at a local bank becomes an added responsibility.

As he struggles to find clues and make progress in his investigations, Vijay’s lack of experience in handling such cases is also called out. With more bodies piling up, can he find a break in the case? Dridam also stars Shobi Thilakan, Dinesh Prabhakar, Krishna Prabha, Mathew Varghese, Nandan Unni, Sreejith Gangadharan, among others.
