Scene, the much-awaited combination of Tamil superstar and Aavesham director Jithu Madhavan, hit theatres on November 6, 2026. The film, a quirky crime thriller, pits Suriya against Naslen, with the latter embracing an antagonist role for the first time ever. The film also stars Nazriya, Lal, Anandraj, among others, with Tovino Thomas chipping in with a special cameo.

The post-theatrical OTT rights of Scene have already been picked up with Netflix bagging the same. Going by current trends, the film should arrive on streaming following the 4-week window and should, therefore, drop on Netflix on or before December 4, 2026. The Tamil original film will be available with audio in other languages too when it begins streaming.

The film, meanwhile, follows Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, a supremely efficient cop with a quirky methodology that has given him great results. And yet, he is desperate to leave the force. Trouble is, just as he prepares to hang up his boots, a bunch of murders that appear to bear the same trademarks of a serial killer he’d put behind bars emerge. Did Inbaraj put the wrong man in jail or is a copycat on the loose?

Scene opened with 6 am morning shows all across the south, including Tamil Nadu, where such screenings had been banned in the last 3 years. The initial buzz is that Suriya is gearing up for a third successful theatrical outing, following Karuppu and Vishwanathan and Sons.
