Mango Pachcha, the debut vehicle of Sanchith Sanjeev, the nephew of Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep, hit theatres on June 5, 2026, with an OTT deal firmly in place. However, unlike most other films that have had this privilege and dropped on the streamer within, say, 4 weeks of the theatrical outing, Mango Pachcha didn’t make it to the roster fast enough. This, despite a lacklustre box office outing. Well, the film is now finally coming to OTT with JioHotstar listing it on its coming soon section.

Mango Pachcha, which marked the directorial debut of Viveka, is getting a festive OTT release and will begin streaming on JioHotstar from September 14 on the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi. Incidentally, the film was meant to have a festive theatrical outing for Sankranti this year, but the makers eventually pushed it ahead to June. The film also stars Jai Gopinath, Kajal Kunder, Mayur Patel, Prashanth Hiremath, Ugramm Manju, among others.

In the film, Sanchith played the title character Pachcha, who is roped in to join his older step brother to run the operations of their father’s thriving weed farm, after the latter’s demise. The half-siblings foster a love-hate relationship, which their late father’s business partner uses to his advantage. What happens when Pachcha rises up the ranks forms the crux of the narrative.

The film received moderately positive reviews, but didn’t quite click at the box office. Much of the narrative, according to The Cinema Post review, revolved around establishing Sanchith’s new moniker as Jr Kiccha, than adding meat to plot points. It seemed like a deliberate attempt to ensure that audiences saw a young Sudeep in Sanchith and get them to celebrate this.
