The narrative unfolds over a single high-stakes day when a brutal attack and a sudden family emergency force enemies and lovers into the confined space of an intensive care unit of a hospital. As fear, anger, and long-buried emotions surface, the truth behind the chaos unravels in a race against time.
Marking director George Varghese's return 16 years after the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Thanthonni (which is currently available for streaming on JioHotstar), ICU features Vismaya — known for her role in the Suriya-backed Tamil film Uriyadi — as the female lead. The supporting ensemble includes Navas Vallikkunnu, Srikanth Murali, Meera Vasudev, and Murali Gopy. ICU released in theatres earlier this year.
On the creative and technical side, Santhosh Kumar penned the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The film features a musical score by Jose Franklin, cinematography by C. Lokanathan, and editing by Lijo Paul.
