Avarachan & Sons centres on Avarachan, a widowed single father whose days are consumed by drinking and causing trouble in their locality until a reckless action drags him into a dangerous conflict. Sent away to stay at his sister's home to escape the repercussions, his period of exile turns into far more than a getaway—setting off unexpected new relationships, deep self-reflection, and a path toward personal redemption. According to The Cinema Post review, the film serves as a decent one-time watch, delivering a familiar family drama that comfortably relies on standard genre tropes.
