The teaser for Neekkam, starring Dileep and directed by Jagan Shaji Kailas, is scheduled to drop on October 9. The makers announced the release date alongside a brand-new promotional poster. Serving as the directorial debut for Jagan Shaji Kailas and marking the 152nd film in Dileep's career, the movie is billed as a gripping emotional drama-thriller designed to keep audiences engaged. The upcoming teaser is expected to offer a deeper look into the storyline and character reveals. Unveiled in April, the film's first poster features a stern-faced Dileep holding an umbrella amidst a crowd, setting an intriguing tone for a suspenseful thriller.
Cast and crew of Neekkam
Alongside Dileep, the film features a strong supporting cast including Ashokan, Binu Pappu, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Siddique, Veena Nandakumar, Bilas Chandrahasan, Siraj, Shari, Ramya Suresh, and Diya Deepan in pivotal roles. Jointly produced by Sandeep Senan under Urvashi Theatres, Dr Jayantilal Gada for Pen Studios, and Kakka Stories Productions, the film is backed by producers Sandeep Senan, Alex E. Kurian, and Dhaval Gada. Sangeeth Senan and Nimitha Francis join as co-producers, with Raghu Subhash Chandran managing executive production and Manu Alukkal serving as the project designer for the movie. The puja ceremony for the film was held earlier this year in Vaikom Temple in Kottayam.
Written by Vibin Balachandran, Neekkam features a notable technical team and a musical score composed by Mujeeb Majeed. Urvashi Theatres is set to handle the theatrical release shortly. Expectations for the film are particularly high following the mediocre theatrical performance of Dileep's previous film, Bha Bha Ba, which is now available for streaming on ZEE5.
