Headlined by Manju Warrier, the movie features an ensemble cast including Mukesh, JP Thuminad, Madhu Warrier, VK Prakash, Neeraja Rajendran, Nidhinya, Anu, Nishanth Sagar, and Athira Rajeev. Showcasing all the lead characters, the first look promises a blend of light-hearted humour, vibrant energy, and a feel-good atmosphere aimed at appealing to both youth and family audiences.
Produced by Bineesh Chandran under the Movie Bucket banner, the film features a story and screenplay penned by Ashiq Aimar. Gautham Sankar leads the cinematography, while Kannan Mohan manages the edit works of the film. The soundtrack and musical score for Happiloop are composed by Electronic Kili and Parvathish Pradeep. The production of Happiloop began in Thrissur in May this year.
On the technical front, the film features executive production by Aneesh C Salim, makeup design by Ronex Xavier, and costumes by Liji Preman. Happiloop marks director Anand Menen’s third directorial venture following Gauthamante Radham (streaming on Amazon Prime Video) and Vaazha (available on JioHotstar with English subtitles).
The movie also serves as the Malayalam debut for J.P. Thuminad, who gained widespread fame after starring in the 2025 Kannada box-office hit horror-comedy Su from So, which is currently available to stream on JioHotstar. Additionally, Happiloop represents Manju Warrier's return to Malayalam cinema, with her last appearance being in the Mohanlal-Prithviraj Sukumaran blockbuster Empuraan. Manju is also playing the lead role in Rahul Sadasivan-Prithviraj Sukumaran’s upcoming horror film, Odiyan.
