The makers have officially confirmed the release date of the Kunchacko Boban-starrer Hail Mary. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 26, arriving a day prior to Sandeep Pradeep's Cosmic Samson and the Joemon Jyothir-starrer Prempatta. Directed by debutant Vishnu Revikumar, the project is jointly backed by Martin Prakkat Films and Green Room Productions.
The ensemble cast features Suraj Venjaramoodu, Anu Sithara, Suhasini Maniratnam, Hakkim Shajahan, and Vinay Forrt. On the technical side, the film features cinematography by Roby Varghese Raj, editing by Chaman Chakko, and a musical score by Jakes Bejoy. The shooting of Hal Mary concluded on August 31 after its initial announcement earlier this year, with an upcoming trailer expected to offer a closer look at the film's genre.
The screenplay for Hail Mary is adapted from a novel by writer-director G.R. Indugopan, co-written by Martin Prakkat and Dr. Neeraj Rajan (known for co-writing Dominic and the Ladies’ Purse and ABCD). Indugopan's literary works have previously been adapted into films such as Ponman, Wolf, Oru Thekkan Thallu Case, and the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Vilayath Buddha.
This film marks the third collaboration between Kunchacko Boban and Martin Prakkat, following Nayattu and Officer on Duty. Kunchacko was recently seen in the psychological thriller Unmadham—directed by Kiran Das, written by Shahi Kabir, co-starring Lijomol, Sabumon, and Raina Radhakrishnan, and currently streaming on Sony LIV. Up next, the actor will feature in a key role in the upcoming highly anticipated Malayalam release, Bachelor Party D’eux, alongside Tovino Thomas, Naslen, Sreenath Bhasi, Soubin Shahir, and Sharaf U Dheen.
