API International, a major film production and distribution banner, has secured the all-India distribution rights (outside of Kerala) for the upcoming Malayalam feature Athimanoharam. Meanwhile, Home Screen Entertainment has acquired the film's overseas distribution rights, excluding North America (USA). Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the project marks another collaboration with superstar Mohanlal. Produced under the Ashiq Usman Productions banner, the movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24 as a Christmas 2026 release.

The movie’s initial promotional poster—showing Mohanlal as a police officer surrounded by Sabarimala pilgrims—drew wide interest upon its release. In the film, Mohanlal plays a character named T. S. Love Lajan, and post-production work is progressing with dubbing currently in progress. Written by Ratheesh Ravi (known for scripting films like Ishq and Alappuzha Gymkhana), the project boasts an expansive ensemble cast.

Meera Jasmine is playing the female lead in this cop drama. Key roles feature Lalu Alex, Manoj K. Jayan, Jagadish, Irshad, Mukesh, Sudheesh, Pramod Veliyanad, Sajeevan, Sreenath Babu, Kiran Peethambaran, Viji Viswanath, Bhama Arun, and Prarthana.

Veteran cinematographer Shaji Kumar, who has previously lensed several notable Mohanlal projects, handles the camera work for Athimanoharam. The film features a strong technical team behind the scenes, including Jakes Bejoy as the music director. With distribution partners secured for the 'Rest of India' market and overseas territories, Athimanoharam is gearing up for a wider release. It is expected that the film's global reach will be enhanced through its distribution by API International in India and Home Screen Entertainment internationally.
