Baby Jean is set to make his debut as a lead actor in the upcoming Malayalam flick, Aksharamprathi, directed by newcomer Reshma Sivakumar, who previously assisted Jeethu Joseph. Shooting of the film, produced by Indian Cinema Company, is expected to begin soon with full cast and crew details coming shortly. Besides Aksharamprathi, the banner has announced other projects as well, all of which will feature debutant filmmakers, including Jithesh S. Ram, and Rohit Chandrasekhar.
Directed by Jithesh and co-starring Alan Bin Siraj, the as-yet-untitled Sharaf U Dheen-led family entertainer is currently wrapping up production after kicking off its shoot in Mysuru. Meanwhile, Rohit Chandrasekhar's directorial venture features a fresh cast in a romantic drama written by Kiran K S. The banner first made its mark in Mollywood with the critically and commercially acclaimed Tovino Thomas-starrer Narivetta, directed by Anuraj Manohar. On the heels of that success, the production house aims to deliver quality cinema by continuing to showcase promising new talent.
Rapper-turned-actor Baby Jean received widespread acclaim for his role as Subhash in the year's Malayalam hit Bharathanatyam 2 Mohiniyattam, which is currently available on Netflix. Following the film's success, he has seen a surge in acting opportunities. His upcoming slate includes a role in Jayasurya's Titans and Paalapoo, a Malayalam horror-comedy.
