The pre-release promotional event for the upcoming film, Scene, drew a massive crowd at the Adlux International Convention Centre in Angamaly, Kochi, on November 4, despite actor Suriya’s absence due to a sudden high fever.

The film’s production banner, Zhagaram Studios, released an official statement apologising for the actor’s last-minute cancellation for unforeseen health reasons while expressing gratitude to fans for their understanding. The event went ahead with the rest of the cast—including Nazriya Nazim, Naslen, music composer Sushin Shyam, and director Jithu Madhavan—who kept the crowd energised as fans showered the star with get-well wishes and grooved to his popular songs played by a Kochi-based band.

The music for this highly anticipated film is composed by Sushin Shyam, marking his Tamil debut alongside director Jithu Madhavan, who previously earned acclaim for Romancham and Aavesham. According to the makers, the film has 18 tracks composed by the young popular musician. Backed by Zhagaram Studios and 2D Entertainment, the big-budget action-comedy thriller features a supporting cast that includes Lal, John Vijay, and Anand Raj and is slated for a theatrical release on November 6.

The trailer introduces Suriya as DSP Inbaraj, an unconventional police officer whose chaotic approach to crime-solving brings more mayhem than order. Packed with humour and quirky beats, the plot follows Inbaraj as he investigates a series of murders alongside his assistant Maya. A major highlight of the film is Naslen, who portrays the psychopathic killer Eeswaran.

Given Jithu Madhavan’s distinctive storytelling, a heavy presence of Malayalam talent behind and in front of the camera, and a festive release window, the film is expected to make a massive splash at the box office.
