Bethlehem Kudumba Unit OTT release date: When and where to stream Nivin-Mamitha’s hit rom-com

Nivin Pauly’s Onam hit Bethlehem Kudumba Unit is still going strong at the box office in its original Malayalam version. In the two weeks since the film hit theatres, it has already surpassed the Rs 200 cr worldwide gross mark and was set to add to this with the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions releasing on September 4, 2026. The film, as The Cinema Post had reported earlier, released with OTT and satellite deals firmly in place, with JioHotstar and Asianet holding the respective rights. 

At the time, it was speculated that the film would be on streaming by the 4-week mark, although its phenomenal box office showing and the dubbed versions release hinted at a possible postponement of the OTT premiere. However, there are reports insisting that the 4-week window will hold irrespective of the theatrical business. Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, according to the reports, will drop on JioHotstar on September 18, 2026. The streamer is yet to confirm this development. 

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, meanwhile, has been written and directed by Girish AD, famous for coming-of-age romantic comedies like Thanneer Mathan Dinangal, Super Sharanya, I am Kathalan and Premalu. The film stars Nivin Pauly in the lead and reunites Girish with Mamitha Baiju. The cast also includes Sangeeth Prathap, Roshan Shanavas, Suresh Krishna, Shyam Mohan, Vinay Forrt, among many others.

The story revolves around Justin (Nivin), who runs a catering business in Angamaly and his new neighbour, young collegian Ashley (Mamitha). She takes a keen interest in the local do-gooder Justin and while he doesn’t reciprocate feelings initially owing to their age difference, eventually, he gives in. But then her folks find out and all hell breaks loose. Is there a happily-ever-after for Justin and Ashley? That’s what the film is about.
