(NASDAQ:SPPI) declared today that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has provided U.S. Patent No. 8835501, which covers Beleodaq (belinostat) for Injection on September 16, 2014 with patent term adjustment from May 2026 to October 2027. MD, Chairman and CEO of Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Rajesh C. Shrotriya stated that they are pleased to have this patent expansion for Beleodaq, their fifth permitted drug to further extend their intellectual property protection.

The contract also enlarges DISH’s distribution of authenticated live and Video-on-Demand Scripps Networks programming on Internet-connected devices. DISH Network reported that the renewal contract applies to the entire suite of Scripps Networks channels.
